Ros is Now Blogging!

Ros, to my surprise, recently created her own blog via Blogger. This is really unexpected, that’s why after learning about it, I immediately bought a domain name (www.roszain.com) and registered it for 2 years! Check out her postings on our Boracay vacation and birthday preparation for Reese.

Heading Off to Boracay Tomorrow

Ros and I will be in Boracay starting tomorrow for a 3days/2nights vacation. Our flight is around 9am via Air Philippines. We didn't take Cebu Pacific simply because the rate is way too expensive (almost doubled). We will be staying in Boracay Holiday Resort situated in Station 2. The hotel looks good in picture. I hope it's really as good as advertised.

This is actually my first time to be out in Boracay. I hope the weather will improve, even a bit, and will not completely spoil our entire stay there.

Back from Hong Kong, Back to Reality

Ros and I just got back from a short vacation in Hong Kong. We enjoyed this trip a lot! We tried to visit as many place as possible, but the chilling rainy weather last Saturday prevented us to do so.

As an alternative, we just looked for good bargains in the mall. The prices are really cheap!

Hong Kong is a very nice place. But for me, Singapore is still better. The transportation system in these territories is very efficient. You can go anywhere using train (really really good), bus and taxi. I'm really hoping that someday, Metro Manila will transform into somewhere near Singapore and Hong Kong (don't lose hope please).

Hong Kong Here I Come!

I'm off to Hong Kong tomorrow for a much-deserved vacation! Ros is already there since Monday, attending a company sponsored training together with three of her colleagues. The training will end tomorrow… after that… it's vacation time!

I'm excited because this will be my first time in HK (same with Ros). Temperature is around 10C to 12C so it's a bit cold. The weather forecast shows that I should expect a cloudy skies with some rain showers (…no!). I hope the weather will improve in the coming days (…more sun please). We will try to visit as many place as we can till Sunday morning.

I will be posting pictures when I'm back.

Well, talking about pictures, I'm seriously considering buying a DSLR camera right now. I'm looking at Canon 400D. Based on my research, this is one of the best entry level DSLR in the market today. I hope I can find a good bargain there :)

Gillian Reese Turns 6 Months Old!

My daughter, Gillian Reese, turned 6 months last Saturday! She's growing too fast that she might not fit into her crib in 2 or 3 months time (hehehe).



There are also some changes with her vitamins and food intake as listed below:

1. Significant increase of her vitamins dosage.
2. Change of milk from S26 to Promil.
3. Start taking solid foods (e.g. Gerber).

She just completed her primary vaccines (oh thanks!) but there are still more come (ka$hing!).

P.S. I prepared a special Pancit Bihon for Reese. Too bad that she wasn't able to taste it for obvious reason :D

My wife and I would like to thank our relatives and friends who joined us last Saturday for the baptism of our daughter, Gillian Reese!

The Long Wait Is Almost Over!

Last Saturday, my wife had her supposedly last checkup before she give birth. She's turning 40 weeks this coming Friday!

Unfortunately, there are still no signs of labor yet. So the doctor decided to have her check again on Tuesday. If there is no improvement, she will have to undergo caesarean section anytime between Wednesday and Friday.

I am still hoping that a miracle will happen and she will go through normal delivery on or before the Friday deadline :D

We are TOO excited to see our first baby!

1st Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday, my wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary! We really want to celebrate it out of town but due to her pregnancy, we decided to have it here in the Metro.

Good food, good movie and good company complete our day.

It's A Girl!

After several failed attempts to determine the gender of my baby, it finally showed up during our 4D ultrasound session in “In My Womb” clinic located at Park Square II Makati and it’s a girl! We can now buy baby stuffs specifically for a baby girl unlike before wherein we only buy white colored clothes, kits, etc.

My wife and I also had an opportunity to see who she looks like through the super impressive 4D ultrasound technology. And the result is… she looks like her mother!

I will be posting some pictures afterwards as soon as I have it scanned :)

BigBerts = BIG Joke

Last week, I had my car undergo full detailing on BigBerts. I choose BigBerts over the others, in spite of the cost, because I've read in the forums that it is the best detailer here in Manila. The actual full detailing took 3-long days.

Me and my wife picked up the car on the 4th day. Our excitement turned to disappointment after seeing our car. Yes it looks a bit shiny but it is not as clean as we've expected. Personally, I'm expecting a clean interior and exterior, and also clean glasses since I also availed of glass detailing on top of the full detailing. Stains are still visible and the glass are still messy. I can still write my name on the window because of the dust. In fairness, the engine is very clean but that is not my agenda for having it detailed.

To cut the long story short, the quality of work is very poor. If they can only "clean" an already "clean" and "brand new" car then... therefore... I really hate to say this, but their service is truly a BIGBertsJoke.

Last Day in LTI

Today is my last day here in Lakeside Technologies. I decided to accept an offer in Caspo which is also here in Makati. I'm looking forward to my new job!
